Turkey beat Georgia with two stunning goals

Turkey scored two of the best goals seen yet at Euro 2024 as they beat Georgia in a hugely entertaining match. Arda Guler's stunner helped Turkey get off to a winning start at Euro 2024, before Kerem Aktürkoglu converted on a beautiful counter to seal Turkey's 3-1 victory over Georgia.

It is worth highlighting that this was Georgia's first ever match at a major tournament, but they can be proud of their performance. They took the lead through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but Turkey hit back through Guler's wonder goal. Aktürkoglu then put Turkey ahead with a clinical finish, before Cengiz Under sealed the win late on.

This was a great start to Euro 2024 for Turkey, who will now be confident of qualifying for the knockout stages. Georgia, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have lost their opening game, but they can still qualify for the next round if they can beat Switzerland in their next match.
